Prime Minister Harper and a delegation of Canadian politicians travelled to China this week to set the stage for possible free trade talks. The likelihood is that these meetings are expected to proceed with, “exploratory discussions on deepening trade and economic relations.” There are seventeen specific government to government issues ranging from energy to human rights issues. Also highlighted were 23 commercial agreements worth an estimated $3 billion. Consequently, once the sleeping giant awakes there will either be ramifications or more prosperity for all Canadians.
Pandas are coming to Canada from China for a joint collaborative research on conservation. They will be on display in Toronto and Calgary zoos for ten (10) years.
