The Boston Marathon, first run was in 1897 and is considered the most prestigious in the world as it attracts about 20,000 runners each year, most of whom have met a qualifying standard in another race. Today evil takes over a tradition as some individual without a conscience or organization trying to make a statement through violent means, murders and injures innocent people to express some morbid thought or dissatisfaction about life. Of course the normal reaction is to seek the perpetrators and demand justice. Unfortunately with no rhyme nor reason how can anyone give justification for such a cowardly act. I remember when the Oklahoma bombings occurred and everyone waited, with bated breath to see which terrorist group or Country claimed an act of War on America. If found to be , it could have been the beginning of Armageddon. Through investigation it was discovered that it was a few Americans,  citizens of their own, who developed a warped ideology and used murder simply because they didn’t like the direction or stance the government took in reference to the issues at hand. Their solution was to kill and solve the problem by attacking the institution regardless of the casualties. If everyone in society took this view, there would be no one left. The World and our economic system depend on America for much of the wealth and prosperity we enjoy today no matter from which race, religion or creed we come from. Unfortunately, fanaticism ruins the benefit for all. Even with issues like Gun Control now front and center, Americans need to look from within and truly understand their purpose in how they approach and influence other Nations. The world is our playground and Peoples culture and lifestyle should always be respected. When this is compromised the results will be deadly with innocent people victimized for the sake of political expression. The concern I personally have was this a distraction for something more sinister or simply an act of insanity? Regardless, God needs to bless America more than ever if our world, the way we know it, is to continue moving forward.
