Yesterday I decided to sign up for guitar lessons and hire a voice coach , this  left my wife a little puzzled, as all she could say was, Why? Well if you didn’t hear the news John Mayer announced he was calling it quits with Katie Perry. As the world around us crumbles economically, the media bombards society with the trails and tribulations of high society. We can all be rich and famous and make the world a better place but in the meantime, the rich and famous can’t get enough of those ‘Sugar Crisps’. It seems they get easily bored with the romance in their lives as the limited time of the hourglass continues. If it were that easy to turn your emotions on and off  change ones’ allegiance out of convenience because you can afford to do it, then it would be easy for all. But life is not that easy. I never understood what emotional and mental issues really meant, until adulthood when we see the psychiatric and marital issues of celebrities bombarding us as being the norm. They make love seem superficial, measured not by the size of a persons heart but rather the size of his or her wallet. Though I may only be assuming this as reality, I may not be far off from the actual truth. None the less, it always seems like John Mayer is the one celebrity who rises to the occasion to pick up the pieces of the broken hearted. Either through song or comforting words as he always seems to be in the right place at the right time for the ladies who seem to have everything. With the economy slowing I figured I could reinvent myself. If ever my wife decides to divorce me and John Mayer comes to comfort her, then I can start writing the songs, ‘that make the young girls cry’, to win the heart of my amore. On second thought, if Mayer can take my darling to new heights, I can take over from him, waiting in the wings for the next celebrity to fall and hope she will be willing to use me for her own purpose and pleasure.  Now that would be a dream!
