In a country like Canada with a semblance of gun control and rules over gun ownership, we continue to witness the shooting deaths of children. Why? Many community leaders are scratching their heads to understand the reasoning for such unnecessary carnage. Society is always in transition, yet much point to the cultural acceptance of certain ethnicities in which woman having children out of wedlock becomes the norm. To raise a family and household without any financial obligation from the father(s) is difficult enough. These aren’t men but leeches that sow their seeds to create Wards of the State, only for their pleasure without responsibility of their actions.
Unfortunately when Mothers are forced to wear so many hats, they may loose control of the guidance of their children. Some individuals are strong disciplinarians while others may be overwhelmed and incapable. As a result their children may wander toward the attention and affection of others. Unfortunately gangs are a growing breed of burden not only to the communities but to the cities they live in. They start off small by bullying and stealing from vulnerable children, then graduate by robbing homes or plan home invasions. In the meantime these gangs on a small scale may start selling drugs, as a means to supplement their income which is possibly subsidized by various organizations. I would wager that in a majority of low income housing projects there may be a number of gangs controlling cheap rental apartments for the production of pot. Tenants are vulnerable to contaminants yet from the politician’s stand-point where do they put displaced families? The more crime, the more protection, thus guns are introduced. They should start by, castrating ‘dead beat’ dads, then evict the perpetrators that sell guns, including their families and reward the responsible care givers to set the example for everyone else.
