How did you spend your Family Day? A gift from the Provincial Liberal Government, thanks in large part by a surprised Dalton McGinty who won a second term at the time. He was surprised as anyone else that he was actually reelected. So as a reward to the citizens who swept him back into power on his negative add campaigns, that seem to work, he was able to finance the holiday with small business,  corporations and of course, taxpayer dollars, for this winter oasis of fun, fun, fun. Always appreciating to spend time with the family, my youngest sister invited us over along with my other sister, her family and our parents for dinner on Saturday. The following day I invited my parents for a dinner and movie on Sunday and finally the dreaded Monday arrived, exclusive to our own family. With many things to plan and do before the spring arrives, my wife decided as she has done from inception of this Family Day, to re-analyze our relationship. To be honest, I think my repulsion for the Liberal Leader and his continuous exaggeration of the truth may have come to bite me in the bum. Some way, some how, my wife who must be a closet liberal, asks me questions that make me cringe. I am forced to sit and listen to her complaints as if I am a little school boy being scolded by the  teacher. My daughters look on, listen and will eventually develop the artistry of controlling their eventual life mate. Personally, I couldn’t wait to get to work, just to escape a day of complacency. There is simply too much to  do and not enough time to do things in life. Priorities are my goal but with a Sergeant Major by my side, it looks like my aspirations are to fulfill her dreams not mine.
