The Way I See Things

Volume 12 Issue 4

“We can change the world. It is in your hands to make a difference.”
Nelson Mandela

Good morning,

Personally, I never appreciated Spring and Summer more than I do today. I guess my love for winter has waned over the years because it was simply a time I associated with pain. As a kid, I would go to the rink and play shinny hockey in an open-air arena. I wasn’t a great skater but after a while, my feet would freeze or the skates were just not a good fit, it just took the fun out of the activity while I watched others skate circles around me.

Then there was skiing, never be infatuated with someone and then go skiing. I don’t know where my mind went but I just didn’t pay attention to the warnings. The first time I went down, I looked like the skier on the ABC telecast  Wild World of Sports. I was the one experiencing the agony of defeat, equipment scattered everywhere yet I got up and decided to do it again.

This time I followed my friends the expert skiers that go to Austria and Colorado every year while I snowplow and pray to get down to the bottom. With my head in the clouds and dreaming of a beautiful woman that I had just met, I didn’t realize I was going down a Black Diamond run.  I didn’t even get the opportunity to try because I fell backwards and dislocated my shoulder. Oh, the agony! I never experienced something so painful as the SkiPatrol placed me on a saucer and I felt every crevasse of that hill sounding like Homer Simpson screaming Doh all the way down.

At least in warm weather you can rehabilitate near a body of water, drink a refreshing drink or relax with the warmth of the sun healing you from the exterior.  The countdown is on as there are less than 3 months until spring.

Speaking of the countdown, we are close to the end of 2022, a year many would gladly want to forget. The world is in chaos and everything that once ran so smoothly has now become a catastrophe. Globalization and the dependence on production from other parts of the world have brought manufacturing to a standstill in some sectors. Demand for products and parts has been in short supply, as a result, the costs have skyrocketed adding to the burden of inflation.

It seems leaders around the World have bought into the perverse agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for humanity to live life the way they intend People to live rather than People having a choice.

Consequently, the cost of food, medications and regular supplies for household items have also catapulted while families’ incomes have remained stagnant. Inflation and the Cost of Living rising have been the biggest concern for 2022, while others are trying to walk away from the responsibility of inflicting Covid-19, especially the disastrous consequences that have become prominent yet are somehow being ignored. Meanwhile, Billions are being sent to Ukraine with zero accountability nor transparency to win a war that has already been lost.

Nonetheless, we move forward and look toward 2023 for positive change and for people to become enlightened by truths that have been suppressed. I believe the USD will implode as rising rates bring economies and people to their knees. Ultimately the cycle of raising rates will end and presently I believe the powers that rule are using Oil as the catalyst to bring inflation down. This action alone will justify their actions as the solution. Inflation has been an intentional by-product of Government and Central Bank policies to flood the money supply with cheap money. People were lured into assuming debt, now many families will be caught in the crunch having to abandon the dream home purchase. A dream that can quickly turn into a nightmare for many. It was disheartening, to listen to an interview by a reporter talking about the plight of many who now have to use food banks to feed their family. When the CEO of the Food Bank in Mississauga, Ontario tells us that there are many who are destitute, inquiring how they can commit suicide as an option, I thought this was absolutely disgusting to even imagine how the outlook for the future has dissipated.

I look forward to a very positive 2023, it will be challenging yet rewarding. The key starts at the micro level by making the interactions we have fruitful. Be prepared for the unexpected to conquer evil while promoting the good in this world. Money does make the world go around, we just don’t need to worship it to live better lives. I look forward to continuing to reach out and do my best to provide my best perspective on the way I see things. Happy New Year to all and may we all prosper in not only wealth but most importantly health and happiness!
