Good morning,
My daughters wanted to surprise me with a birthday gift and decided to redecorate my office. Without objection, I gave my eldest the green light as she studies interior design and Feng Shui, the art of energy flowing within your environment. When aligned, it brings wealth, happiness, long life and family. If the flow is disturbed the good doesn’t materialize. Therefore, if you don’t hear from me anymore you will either be content or curious, your choice.
My mind is always racing, thinking a mile a minute. I have learned to cope with disorganization. Today, I would probably be diagnosed with some type of Attention Deficit Syndrome (ADD) but in reality, I am used to being who I am. The clutter can suck, my only issue is stubbing my toes on articles on the floor as a nuisance. As a matter of fact, I probably have convinced myself that even with all the chaos in my surroundings I still know where to find things even though my desk looks like a bomb hit it.
Nonetheless, I left for the day and came back to Shangrila, a place of peace, serenity and unicorns. I was in awe of how refreshing it was to work in a serene place and actually felt great, calm and somewhat relaxed.
Meanwhile, my youngest is immersed in the study of human design. I don’t even know who I am anymore, everything I grew up doing is wrong. I can’t seem to do anything right or function without comments or a smirk directed toward me. I supposedly experienced too much trauma in my upbringing and now I am part of their human experiment. I tried to bring a coffee into my new space and was quickly reprimanded. This is no place for food or drink, that is why we have a kitchen. I felt my blood pressure inch higher as I already feel naked with only my computer and a new chair. To my chagrin, everything else I need is either outside in boxes or I have to ask for permission if can bring it into my cleaner space. If the room was rubber, I would be bouncing off the walls. I assume I need to use the unique gift of intuition to find things I will eventually need.
Speaking of, out with the old and in with the new, it looks like the spendthrift ways of the recent past have finally caught up to become our new reality. Inflation remains strong and unabated. Some information recently forwarded to me of note;
The US national debt nears $31Trillion: What it means and why it’s a concern
The U.S. national debt is steadily approaching $31 trillion, according to data by the Treasury Department.
The U.S. national debt previously hit a milestone in February 2022, when it surpassed $30 trillion for the first time.
The national debt is the “accumulation” of the federal government borrowing money by selling marketable securities to pay its deficits and the “associated interest owed to the investors who purchased these securities,” according to the Treasury Department.
A deficit occurs when the government spends more than it collects in revenues in a given fiscal year.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) warned in its latest long-term budget outlook that the rising debt could have ramifications for the U.S. economy.
With “persistently rising” debt, investors could lose confidence in the federal government’s ability to pay off its debt, which could result in interest rates or inflation suddenly rising, according to the CBO.
Consequently, recent inflationary data shows inflation actually accelerating to the point whereby the Central Bankers have no clue how to fix the mess they created in the first place. It seems like a deliberate attempt to crash the party or what is viewed as the market. Unthinkable? Never say never. The infusion of inflation will have a direct impact on the most vulnerable, especially the poor, including the middle class that are heavily indebted. They will succumb to the alternative offered and rather than feel the financial strain, they will be forced to give up their property by accepting a universal basic income. Very much in the works and listen to the words of the politicians, it’s coming, “You will own nothing and be Happy”. This is the agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and it has infiltrated governments around the world. Of course, the United States is the biggest prize but Canada and Holland are test ground cases. If they can do it there, they can do it anywhere, I can hear Frank Sinatra now.
Recent economic data was not very supportive of any improvements and the data provided needs to be scrutinized.
- US Industrial Production <0.2%> vs expected +0.2% in August
- US Phil Fed Mfg Index <9.9%> vs +2.8% in September
- US NY Fed Empire State Mfg Index improves to <1.5> from <31.3> vs expected <13>
- Weekly Jobless Claims down 213K vs Expected 226K
- US Retail Sales up 0.3% vs expected 0% in August, probably positive because people running to the hills to escape.
I believe it is the best time to be alive because we are witnessing history in the making. Keep in mind, in history, The Egyptian and Persian cultures were the cradle of civilization, then came the Romans who once ruled the world. After, the British followed by the Americans and the Industrial revolution. Economically, they controlled the markets militarily and financially. The Chinese are going to surpass the Americans to become the #1 economy but I think they have major issues pending in their own markets, that the rest of the world is oblivious to.
As we remain in suspense for the pending Federal Reserve Interest Rate decision, I believe in my own opinion, that the world will witness a major event before the Midterm Elections in the United States, with the potential to cancel them all together. The government could usher in a new way of commerce. Pure conjecture on my part but I believe my intuition is strong. I hope I am 100% wrong. Meanwhile, the USD continues to rise as the USD Index surpasses the 109.60 level. The price of Oil dips below the $85/B level from the previous day’s almost $89/B high. The Canadian dollar slips below the 0.76 cent level and remains weak based on the disappointing job numbers from the previous week, plus a reflection of USD strength. Most of the jobs created are being created in the Public Sector, funded by Taxpayer money. Be aware of your surroundings, stay safe and prepare for the unexpected. Worse comes to worst anyone can join me in the new rubber room I will build.
